2023/2024

Theme and purpose

The competition, with free entry and open to all, is aimed in particular at design and architecture students and professionals. Its purpose is to select ideas that enable the use and recycling of wood and enhance its potential for the creation of sustainable and reproducible objects.

This year the Contest Art Director is the Industrial Designer Odo Fioravanti from whom all participants can take inspiration to create functional and design objects.

The goal of the competition is to design a new object made with wood recycled from a fruit and vegetable crate.

Prizes

The overall winner will receive a €5,000.00 cash prize, inclusive of all tax and social security charges.

The second and third place entries will receive €2,000.00 and €1,000.00 respectively.

The jury will award an honourable mention and special prize worth €1,000.00 to the project that best highlights the social aspects of the concept and its scope for development.

A second special prize worth €1,000.00 will be awarded to the participant or group who share their participation in the contest in an original and creative way through a reel posted on Instagram.

The jury will select an additional 15 deserving projects for inclusion in a publication that will be produced at the end of the Contest. The organiser also reserves the right to feature the prototypes of the 20 objects selected in an exhibition-presentation of the competition.
