The project leverages the flexibility of wood and transforms the components of the starter box into a series of artifacts in a few steps, balancing function and aesthetics. The individual parts that compose Inchino create a tension structure that can accommodate clothes and accessories when fixed to the wall.
Three individual objects of essential design that guarantee some of the basic functions on the worktop. Particular attention was paid to a widespread social problem: the excessive distraction generated by smartphones to the detriment of concentration in one’s activities.
A multifunctional object that enhances its contents thanks to the transformation of the raw starting material into a tray refined down to the finest details. A container that can be useful in different rooms of the house. It intelligently uses the curvature of the wood to balance strength and functionality.
The project conveys an important message: actively participate in the care of greenery through reforestation. The container, avoiding the use of elements different than wood, accompanies the plants to be inserted into the ground. Once the plant has grown, the decomposed wooden material will return as nourishment to the soil.
The project deserves recognition more for its unusual use, originality, and communicative value than for its functional characteristics. By reducing the container capacity, the critical issues in the supply chain where there is a significant percentage of failed harvests are highlighted to make us more aware consumers.
